In June 1997, the Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the Honorable H. David Bruton, charged the NCIOM and the Division of Women’s and Children’s Health to form a Task Force on Child Health Insurance.
This report presents the major policy choices facing the state in enacting child health insurance coverage. The information provided in this report enabled policy makers to make expeditious and educated decisions on how to implement the provisions of the Child Health Insurance Program.
