The NCIOM is excited to announce the addition of a new project director, Patrick Tang, who has joined the team to provide leadership and support across multiple projects and task forces.

Before joining the NCIOM, Tang was a program manager at Peers for Progress in the Gillings School of Global Public Health. In that role, he led local, national, and international research projects and consulted on mutual and peer support interventions for health and well-being. Through this work, he developed a deep appreciation for the personal and systemic challenges that people face when living with diabetes, cancer, and mental health struggles.

Michelle Ries, President and CEO of the NCIOM, shared, "Patrick brings a wealth of experience in building partnerships and developing policy solutions to improve health across a spectrum of issues. We are excited for Patrick to bring his skills to the ongoing work at NCIOM."

Patrick earned his Master of Public Health in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
