The North Carolina Institute of Medicine (NCIOM) is excited to welcome Dante Jones as our Summer Graduate Research Assistant. Dante brings a strong background in public health, health care administration, and policy research to support the NCIOM’s mission of improving the health and well-being of North Carolinians through collaborative policy analysis and informed action.
He is currently pursuing dual graduate degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Public Health (MPH) at Campbell University, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on health care administration. His academic and professional experiences reflect a deep commitment to evidence-based solutions that address complex public health challenges, particularly in underserved communities.
Dante recently helped lead a task force that developed legislative recommendations to expand the use of Mobile Food Units (MFUs)—an initiative aimed at improving nutrition and food access in areas facing food insecurity. His skills in project design, leadership, data analysis, and health care improvement align closely with NCIOM’s focus on advancing innovative and impactful health policies.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dante to our team this summer,” said Michelle Ries, NCIOM President and CEO. “His dedication to cross-sector collaboration and data-driven approaches will be an asset to the Institute’s work and the communities we serve.”
