Director of Strategic Operations & Organizational Performance

Emily Hooks, M.Ed., is the Director of Strategic Operations and Organizational Performance for the North Carolina Institute of Medicine. Prior to this role she served as a Program and Evaluation Manager, Research Assistant for the Institute, and the Assistant Managing Editor for the North Carolina Medical Journal. Before joining the NCIOM team, Emily worked at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill managing large-scale programs and coordinating quantitative and qualitative assessments. Previously, she was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and taught middle school English in Wake County Public Schools. Emily earned both her M.Ed. in Higher Education and B.S. with international honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
