Graduate Research Assistant
Casen Whitehead joins the NCIOM as a Graduate Research Assistant. He is a rising second-year MPH student studying at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy. Casen is a proud double tar heel, having earned undergraduate degrees from the same institution (BSPH in Environmental Health Sciences and BS in Psychology). As a public health student, Casen is particularly interested in topic areas such as behavioral, mental, and sexual health, evaluating process and effectiveness outcomes and engaging with local community partners to design holistic interventions. Outside of academia, he enjoys hiking, running, reading a nice book, hanging out with friends, and doing anything that gets the adrenaline pumping (he has been skydiving before and hoping to do so again).
