Adam Zolotor, MD, DrPH, is a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina and Deputy Director and Director of Medical Education at NC AHEC. He has practiced family medicine in a small-town practice, rural emergency department, county health department, and academic center. Dr. Zolotor is well known nationally for his work on child abuse prevention. Dr. Zolotor served the North Carolina Institute of Medicine as Vice President and President and CEO from 2012-2020 leading many new statewide policy initiatives. His current work focuses on graduate medical education, access to care, rural health care, and drivers of health.
