James Coleman, MPH, is a Research Assistant at the North Carolina Institute of Medicine. Prior to this role, James completed a Summer Practicum at Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH). During his practicum, James worked on a project focused on how to better engage patients in cancer research. Under the direction of the Executive Director of CCPH, he collected and analyzed qualitative data from cancer survivors, caregivers, and researchers, and authored a report based on the findings from the analysis. James earned his Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Bachelor’s in Psychology & Anthropology from East Carolina University.
